ZARA LOOKS TO TECHNOLOGY TO KEEP UP WITH FASHION
The Spanish company is developing new technology by hooking up with the tech firms. Zara pioneered the fast fashion concept in the 1980's. It was first to develop a method of quickly reacting to changing trends. Technology allows Zaras executives to monitor each stores ambient temperature and energy consumption. Thanks to data analysis the company knows the average weight of residents in each of their stores. They can use these figures to determine what sizes of each garment to ship to each establishment.
